3D-printed titanium lugs
Ten years ago, Bastion became the first in the world to put 3D-printed titanium lugs on a bicycle. Each set is printed to the rider's geometry, then CNC-machined and polished by hand.

Where engineering meets art.
Bastion Cycles is the world's first hyper bike manufacturer. It was founded in Melbourne, Australia, in 2014 by Benjamin Schultz and James Woolcock, both former leaders in automotive design and engineering. They brought the precision of sports car engineering to the bicycle, and build each bespoke bike one at a time to its rider's specification.

The Bastion Archetype distills ten years of Bastion into one model and pushes the limits of craftsmanship and performance.
The Archetype is the result of ten years of evolution and refinement. It adds wind-tunnel-proven aerodynamics to Bastion's signature construction of 3D-printed titanium lugs and filament-wound carbon tubes. Each one is built to its rider's style and specification, and every detail follows the owner's taste.
Every surface and junction has been redesigned. More than a decade of experience went into an even finer finish that brings out the natural beauty of the materials. Bastion calls this complexity born from simplicity Ascendant Complexity.
Compared with the Superleggera at 35 km/h and 0–15° of yaw, it is 6–8 W faster. The gap grows with speed: at 50 km/h it cuts drag by 18–25 W.
Torsional stiffness and power transfer that are unmatched in the industry. Every pedal stroke turns into instant acceleration, driving the rider forward with an efficiency that is hard to believe until you feel it.
“We believe perfection is subjective, and that your voice matters most. The best riding experience comes from a precise balance of technology and craftsmanship.”
Every bike is unique as you are

The carbon tubes are made in-house by filament winding, which aligns every fiber with precision. That is how stiffness, weight and ride quality can be tuned tube by tube.

Road, gravel and limited editions.
Five platforms,
one way of building.
Every Bastion is built on the same philosophy: 3D-printed titanium lugs, carbon tubes made in-house, and geometry fitted to the owner's body and riding style. What changes from model to model is where it rides and how it feels.

180 days for one bike.
The person who designs it
is its owner.
Bastion believes the rider who chooses a Bastion is the best person to design it. Every Bastion begins with a personal consultation that takes in your preferences, riding style and body measurements. It is then made with you and for you, in a process that combines advanced technology with traditional craftsmanship.
